Windy Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Have seen this 98, but noticed an odd mark on the blade. Have only seen the photo, so can't tell if it's just a stain, dirt or indeed could it be a defect or repair? Anyone seen anything similar, or have any ideas? Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Looks like a repair to me, but I'm using my phone right now. 1 Quote
IJASWORDS Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Its a poor photo to decipher any thing from. Could be any thing. Quote
lonely panet Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 silver solder can and has been used in the past to fill gaps and holes. if its from South Australia, run like the wind. a dodgy dealer comes to mind Quote
Windy Posted August 9, 2017 Author Report Posted August 9, 2017 It's in the UK. Think I'll make a phone call to try and bottom it out. Cheers all. Quote
Windy Posted August 9, 2017 Author Report Posted August 9, 2017 Have queried the mark, regards to a repair or damage and they report back that the blade has been greased and it's a thumb print. Quote
Dave R Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 You need/want to see it without the grease, methinks! 1 Quote
Windy Posted August 9, 2017 Author Report Posted August 9, 2017 I assume, 'if' I were to acquire this gunto, and it did turn out to be damaged/repaired I would have course for a full refund given the questions I've asked and answers given in writing? Quote
Stephen Posted August 9, 2017 Report Posted August 9, 2017 Dont count on it, depends on seller. ask for better pix with all the grease off, if he baulks just pass on it. 1 Quote
