Greg F Posted June 15, 2017 Report Posted June 15, 2017 Out of curiosity what would that beast weigh? Greg Quote
Gakusee Posted June 15, 2017 Report Posted June 15, 2017 That looks more like a ceremonial or decorative blade to me. O-dachi did exist and were carried by an assistant who helped with their drawing but this blade's sugata and relative dimensions seem to indicate another purpose. What do you think? Quote

bigjohnshea Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Would you carry an elaborate koshirae like this into battle? I don't think anyone would... I think it's a ceremonial sword. Whatever it is, it's incredible... Wish I had the kind of discretionary funds it takes to acquire something like this. Best on your sale. Cheers Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 Another one for 3,000 Euros further down the page. Quote

Gakusee Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 Both ceremonial / decorative blades as can be seen from the impractical/excessive sori, overall sugata and decorative fittings. Interesting items to display. Quote
PhoenixDude Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Any pics of the blade, curvature and hamon Quote
YOJIMBO Posted August 7, 2017 Author Report Posted August 7, 2017 A poor photo attempt, hamon is not much to see, it's blunted. If the sword was in 100% fit, it would certainly cost more more money Quote
