Patryn Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 For solely personal knowledge, I am requesting help identifying this Kanji. I also read the sticky on this category and it mentioned trying to do it yourself and to check the link page. I am new and a little lost trying to use the link page, can anyone point me where to start trying myself and see if I can do it? Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted May 17, 2017 Report Posted May 17, 2017 You will probably have trouble reading this yourself. Not a good example for starting out with. There was a strange style/fashion around WWII of cutting Mei in seriously angular writing. 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted May 17, 2017 Report Posted May 17, 2017 Patryn, It would help to have a better pic of that bottom kanji. I'm a complete novice, but aren't the top 2 kanji the province Yasa shiro? The "yasa" is obvious, but the second kanji is pretty poor if it is "shiro". 1 Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted May 18, 2017 Report Posted May 18, 2017 Just offering this as a trial balloon. 山田鉄周 Shoot down as necessary. (Kanji two looks hastily struck...? Kanji three 媛?needs further dictionary work, I guess.) 2 Quote
