dominnimod Posted April 30, 2017 Report Posted April 30, 2017 Recently i adquired this tsuba, Nara school in hamano style i think? , It has engraved the figure of a man with a sword and a chinese straw hat? I have searched for Japanese gods with no results. The straight sword could be a ken or a jian, so i also searched for chinese gods without luck Any help is appreciated, Sinceresly Quote

Sly Posted May 1, 2017 Report Posted May 1, 2017 Hi José. Maybe you should have a look at Chohi (chinese name : Zhang Fei) figure as well. IMHO the blade held by the character in the tsuba looks like more a spear than a ken. 1 Quote
