This is on a very tired osuriage katana with a mei signed Rai Kunitoshi.

I use blades for cutting with kitae ware. Not fatal at all.

Not fatal, but near the end of being repolished.

I'm not real sure what could have caused that ware, Kyle, not that it matters a whole lot. Steve's right that it won't polish out, as it's both too deep, & its location on the soe-hi has messed that up, too, as least aesthetically. Enjoy the blade for what it is.
