waynes Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Hi, I'm trying to find a shinsa in the US preferably on the east coast to get my katana to. If anybody knows where I can find out where they will be it would be appreciated. Here's a link to the katana I want to take. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1766&p=12091#p12091 Quote
Satcho Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 There are no shinsa scheduled for the northeast US this year. I see that you have gotten some very good feedback already with the previous post. A shinsa will give you an expert opinion. If looking for more comments, have you tried connecting with local collectors or a sword club? Michael http://satcho.com Quote
Bungo Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I think NTHK ( Yoshikawa ) is going to have a London shinsa this year, may be you can have someone going to the London show to take it along for you ? Just a thought......... or send it directly to NBTHK via some agents ( Benson, Griffin of Seatle, etc. ) for a fee, of course. milt Quote
waynes Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 Hi, thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I don't know anyone going to the London show, and as far as sending it to Japan that's a little more then I can justify right now since I bought my first home and am restoring it. Quote
Guest Nanshoku-Samurai Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Is there any information available about the London Shinsa yet? Quote
pcfarrar Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 It's on Nov 1st/2nd. I expect all the slots are taken now as 75% had gone a couple of weeks back. Quote
Guest Nanshoku-Samurai Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Where can one inquire for remaining slots? Is there a website? Quote
paulb Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 As of two days ago there were approx 30 slots still available. I would be happy to help book spaces for you if it would help. Please contact me off board regards Paul Quote
