Lance D Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 I have had this sword for some time. I have never seen another with the stamp under the signature. There is also a unique stamp on the reverse side of the tang. I would love to know who made this sword. Quote

tesscoothome123 Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 Hi Lance, Now that I am home I can finish off for you. Kobuse means a type of forging in which soft stelel is covered with a hard layer. The stamp or Kokuin says Shingane iri-genuine core steel, and the stamp on the back is a registration mark. Lance D Posted November 28, 2016 Author Report Posted November 28, 2016 Thanks very much! Is there any age to the sword? Quote
