tesscoothome123 Posted August 25, 2016 Report Posted August 25, 2016 This I have no idea where to start. I am willing to do the work or any help is appreciated. Best Regards John Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted August 25, 2016 Report Posted August 25, 2016 Yoshimasa kitae saku for the last four on the right hand side of the first pic. Other than that this is outside of my paygrade but really hope you show some pics of the blade. You may have something there based on how well the mei is carved. I'll take a look for yoshimasa in the meantime. Quote
Peter Bleed Posted August 25, 2016 Report Posted August 25, 2016 Very interesting. I'll need far more than I have in front of me to read this, but off hand it seems to have been a presentation piece made by a Seki smith name Yoshimasa in 1937. Neat. I look forward to the full story! P Quote
tesscoothome123 Posted August 25, 2016 Author Report Posted August 25, 2016 Hi Joe, Thank you for your help. It is a good start for me. I was trying to translate as ? Yoshi Masa ?. Did not even occur that it was Kitae. Thank you for your help with this and here on the board. Best Regards, John Quote
