Moriyama san,

Morita san,

縁 切下(kirisage/kirisagari?)

Sorry, we have to talk in Japanese.

"Ki-zukashi" or "ike-zukashi" (生透) is an old, nowadays unused term which is

today just represented by "ko-sukashi" (小透), a way of differentiation from

large-area "ji-sukashi" (地透). However, when the entire surface of a tsuba is

occupied by a design composed of smaller ko-sukashi, the term "ki-zukashi" is

appropriate.

The description of the "Tôsô-kodôgu-kôza" is as follows:

I was curious, Taizan 對山 Is that a name or is it describing a facing or opposed mountain? Like looking at a mountain from across a valley at another mountain. 對 seems obscure. John

My friend wrote that was found description of this tsuba in Haynes,Torigoye "Tsuba an aesthetic study" page 238.

Hakogaki is still a mystery to me

Thank you so much,Markus san and Moriyama san and carlo san.

yagoro san,

I quoted your friend's description (*2,*3 part) in my tanslation of your Hakogaki.

Your friend is explaining the term of "kirisage"(*2) and "kizukashi" (*3) very well.
