manfrommagnum Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 I dont think it is hamano. But could they be Teruyoshi? Thanks Mike Quote
manfrommagnum Posted June 22, 2016 Author Report Posted June 22, 2016 I dont think so. Soten work is a little more cartoonish IMO. Quote

Ford Hallam Posted June 22, 2016 Report Posted June 22, 2016 Mike, why dismiss the very obvious. to my eyes anyway, Hamano attribution? I mean, why go looking for obscure alternatives unless you have an obvious reason? As for the Teruyoshi call... as I'm unaware of a Teruyoshi school as such I assume a particular individual is being suggested. This being the case I'm guessing the student of Omori Terumasa...waves, etc. Do you have some examples of his work that are convincingly like this set? Quote
manfrommagnum Posted June 23, 2016 Author Report Posted June 23, 2016 Ford, I think Hamano Noriyuki work seemed to be a little different look. But I found a very convincing Hamano Tyokuzui Kaou tsuba today that may be awfully close. Still not sure I am on the money. http://www.seiyudo.com/assets/galleries/105/tu-08061-d.JPG Thanks.
