Ford Hallam Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Easy rule of thumb, if it's got lots of silver and gold on it and it's on ebay for what seems like a bargain it's not worth the postage. 2 Quote
ROKUJURO Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 If it's photographed upside down, it's a fake.... 1 Quote

loiner1965 Posted June 20, 2016 Author Report Posted June 20, 2016 many thanks gentlemen.....my only saving grace is i never buy on impulse and always asked more learned members. the only tsuba i have ever bought apart from years ago and the kishima sisters / moderator before brian comfirmed it genuine was from grey on here. this fool rarely parts with his money lol Quote
Jean Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Steve, After your 680 posts, you are not any more a newbie. So please next time, I would like you to post a tsuba and say "for me it is a Chinese repro for such and such reasons or this is is a cast tsuba for the following reasons" otherwise you won't make any progress and keep on posting obvious/blatant/screaming fakes asking if it is the real thing. For your penitence, you are invited to scroll along the tsuba on the following link (tsuba are ranging from low grade to rather some good ones). http://www.aoijapan.com/fittings/tsuba 1 Quote
