Just to let you Tokyo NMB members know that Kaibundo will hold the annual yearend sales event at their Ginza shop from December 7 to 12.

They are known for having big names in their lineups. They carried Masamune at the recent Dai Token Ichi. Guido was holding so close to the blade that he was about to lick with his own tongue. I think it was priced at US$336,000. Some museum class blades, but you can see with your own hands.

I actually gave it a short flick of my tongue while you were distracting the owner by discussing the Muramasa Tantô. Doesn't this give the expression "sword porn" an entire new meaning?

Ichi..was this the same company you took me to the word show of?

If so..I can highly vouch for what Errol says..they had the highest class of swords I could ever imagine. They kept thrusting priceless masterpieces in my hands until my legs felt like jelly :D

Not one Kiyomaru..but 3. Not one Inoue Shinkai...3. Plus many Rai and other blades. Best you can see in one place IMHO.

Yes Brian, this is the one you saw in Ginza. Remember they had one window display corner full of Rai blades, and the others... one for Soshu starting from father Yukimitsu, Masamune, etc.

Mr.Kawashima's display of swords at "Taibundo" was indeed outstanding, but you should know, that the top dealers do not bring all their treasures to Token-Ichi, and I can assure you, that there were many treasures below the desks and at their homes you haven't seen yet. Do not judge a dealer by what he is bringing to the Token-Ichi.
