Can you blokes give me the "good oil" on this dude? showa22 a seller on ebay.

Ive had a real good look at all the feedback and the items sold over the last 90 days and showa22 seams to be the real deal. Could I be mistaken. I dont have the knowledge or experience to judge the blades he sells but my gut feeling is that he is dinkum.

Thank you all for your very informative posts. I have learnt much and been well entertained too.

I have bought a yari from showa22 - it was exactly what I expected and I am very happy with it.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Please sign posts with a first name and inital..thanks, and welcome to the forum :)

The seller is ok. His stuff is genuine, and he does know what he is selling.

He has some junk fixer-upper blades that are bad, and might not have a hamon left. But his higher stuff is ok. Just ask all the questions as usual and get as many pics as you can. The "project" blades are extremely rough though, and I think they have already been carefully examined to see if they could be restored before being written off and sold on eBay.

I've known showa22 for many years (not personally but as a buyer), and I've found his auctions to be straight forward. He offers "you get what you see" auctions where it is up to the buyer to determine the price.

If you think you paid too much for his goods, then that's your problem for not paying attention to the details.

He describes the items as they are without any hype. He must have an active source in Japan because he manages to come up with one "Kamikaze" tanto after another. They don't come around easily.

He reads the demands on eBay and supplies them accordingly, and that, to me, is a sign of a smart eBay dealer. He is in it for a long haul, not for quick profit, and that makes him a reliable eBay dealer.

He gets my two thumbs up, without any hesitation.

He is a honest dude. What you see is what you get. No false descriptions etc. Also as I just said you actually GET what you see. With some sellers you do not get anything in return for your money at all says Mr. Hardy :)

I have now dealt with showa22 and although I have not received the sword I am amazed at his honesty and trusworthness. I am sure I will not be disappointed where the blade arrives.

I will post a pic or 2 when it gets here.

Again thank you all for your help.
