adventurer_900 Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Hi Everyone, I am thinking of trying my hand at Oshigata making. Does any one know if there is a place in the UK where I can get correct paper and Sekkaboku (ink stone)? Thank you all in advance. Quote
paulb Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Hi Stephen After lots of looking and trials I gave up trying to find something suitable and ending up buying mine from Japan (via someone else). I know others have successfully used alternative materials but to be honest they just didnt work for me. pm me with your email address and I can put you in touch with my contact if you want to get them from Japan. paulb Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Thanks Sebastien I think that is who my friend gets mine from. I can confirm it is fit for purpose and in the right hands can give excellent results (Now all I need to do is find the right hands ) 1 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 Just be very patient, Stephen. It does take awhile to get your hand to communicate with what you are seeing in your blade.... Ken Quote
