Jiro49 Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Not a komonjo blade, maybe a few notches higher but definitely a gimei shinsakuto. Definitely Japanese as it came out of Japan but it's signed sukehiro saku with no nengo.. 31.25" nagasa tight itame hada and nice hamon. Comes with 2pc silver foiled habaki. 1500.00usd plus shipping 1 Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 Wanted to add there are 2 small areas of oxidation on the blade but I just keep it oiled.. It goes without saying that this is for battou not art. Quote
AndyMcK Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 Hello there! Might be a coincidence but there was a exactly same length Sukehiro saku for sale by Komonjo from Japan without the habaki though. Did you get it from a Japanese dealer? Would be nice to compare these if they are from same source. Antti 1 Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Report Posted April 12, 2016 Nope, not komonjo. I will check on eBay right now, thanks! 1 Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Report Posted April 12, 2016 No shirasaya, just blade and habaki.. Antti, could you send me the link? Quote
Davidarmy Posted April 13, 2016 Report Posted April 13, 2016 If it came from Japan do you have a copy of the registration...I have someone that is interested Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Report Posted April 13, 2016 You don't get to keep the registration card, it is not provided upon export.. They're just for internal registration of swords in Japan, sadly sometimes you see them with swords listed on ebay describing them as papers Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Report Posted April 13, 2016 And to add, I doubt this ever had one as it has no nengo, so a back door blade Quote
Davidarmy Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks for the info on the registration D Easley Quote
Jiro49 Posted April 14, 2016 Author Report Posted April 14, 2016 Really? That's the reply, like I was trying to be an ass? Sword sword locally today, thanks for the interest! Please delete! Quote

Brian Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 David, That looks like an original (not copy) torokusho. So your sword was exported illegally. Nice. 2 Quote
Kronos Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 I have an original Torukusho as well for a wak I bought. I think the previous owner bought it in Japan so must of taken it out himself and not declared it. Quote
