Grey -- I am wondering if this is the same as this book:

Aito Hyakka sen E. Hayashi koge 1972 ?

title says "AITO HYAKKA SEN" I guess translation would be "hundred favorite nihonto"

 

left hand name is YAGI AKIRA i think..... the others are tough as there is a lot of possibilities as far as I can see...

I think this is a book on fittings as I found it referenced as such on a book site. Maybe on tsuba?

I think it is One Hundred Favourite Swords as chosen by the editors of the book....

 

But then again I see the reference in the kodogu section of koshoyama, so I could be wrong...

林 盈六 (Hayashi Eiroku)

大野 正 (Ohno Tadashi)

新 市郎 (? Ichiro) – I do not know the correct reading for 新 as a family name. It could be Atarashi, Arata, Shin, or Nii.

八木 昭 (Yagi Akira)

Sencho -- it was the Koshoyama listing that threw me off. It didn't make sense to me either but then I'm not proficient in Japanese so wasn't certain if there was something I was missing in the writing below the title -- which was the authors. Oh well.

I had the same confusion, mate and I too am not particularly proficient either, so I was starting to doubt my ability due to the Koshoyama listing.... had to bring the missus in on that one to clarify....

 

(and then take all the credit!!! )

 

by the way, Grey... what are the dimensions of that book???
