Having sold most of my Showa-To references I am struggling. Someone has asked me to translate the mei below. I cant find it in Sloughs but may just not be seeing it right.

Can someone with a lot better grasp of Showa mei help please?

My guess would be 佐藤兼住作之 - Satō Kanesumi saku kore. RJT smith so I think there will be good info on him somewhere (I don't have books of modern smiths. :( ). I'm definately not sure about the 2nd but it would be logical after the first.

Thank you Jussi

Ithats where I got to as well but wasn't very confident. This one has a seki stamp on it but overall the sword looks to be a good clean example. I cant see too much detail on the blade in the current image but may get more later.

Many thanks for your help. regards

Paul
