paulb Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 Having sold most of my Showa-To references I am struggling. Someone has asked me to translate the mei below. I cant find it in Sloughs but may just not be seeing it right. Can someone with a lot better grasp of Showa mei help please? Quote
Jussi Ekholm Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 My guess would be 佐藤兼住作之 - Satō Kanesumi saku kore. RJT smith so I think there will be good info on him somewhere (I don't have books of modern smiths. ). I'm definately not sure about the 2nd but it would be logical after the first. 2 Quote
paulb Posted March 9, 2016 Author Report Posted March 9, 2016 Thank you Jussi Ithats where I got to as well but wasn't very confident. This one has a seki stamp on it but overall the sword looks to be a good clean example. I cant see too much detail on the blade in the current image but may get more later. Many thanks for your help. regards Paul Quote
