Many faces of people I have known, or known of, for many years but never had the chance to meet Last year I had the good fortune to buy A copy of the Hizen Taikan published in the 70s (I think) While a useful and valuable reference in it's own right for me its value was greatly enhanced by the inscription. This was written by Dean Hartley confirming the volume had been presented to him as gift from the authors. Men of his commitment and stature are irreplaceable. I wonder how much further their knowledge and influence would have been had they had the resources which we enjoy today available to them. thanks again Paul Quote
