What was yesterday international small flat rate box $25  and change....

Today $34 rounded  up....grrrrrr

 

priority international express was yesterday $85 and change...

 

today....103$ rounded up....sad the buyer is going to have to eat this cost.

Yeah, these increases hurt. Over 10% from what I see.

Just as an example, and using the old "McDonalds Burger" index as a comparison, just the price INCREASE on my parcel is about 8 Big macs locally. That is quite an increase.

Increased rates are a bummer, but a I have come to know a lot of the local postal workers and all of them are good folk just trying to get by in the world like the rest of us. They have to put up with a lot of unfair nonsense that I believe is a result of policy rather than incompetence. I understand there's always a rogue individual as can be said for any business.

During the holding season, my mailman was delivering packages at 6 am, again between 2-4 for normal deliveries, and again after 6, daily.

I guess you can net the difference between falling sword prices and increased transaction costs and say you're about even at the end of the day ;)
