Hi All, I have only had this sword for a week and being new to Nihonto my library is sadly lacking. No signature, very faint file marks, 29" from tip to end of nakago, double habaki, and a tsuba signed " Kofu ju Masatoshi" which I was told possibly late Edo. I realise its not much for you to go on but any help would be great. It does require a polish to bring out the hamon.

Links to pictures.

Brian,

Were there pics that were supposed to be attached?

I gather that it is the tsuba that is signed Masatoshi, and the sword is mumei?

If so, I'm not sure what info we can provide on the sword without pics, and even then it is difficult.

If you are looking for info on the tsuba, then I think the tosogu section might have more info on the maker.

Regards,

Brian
