SwordGuyJoe Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 Hello, Can someone please help with this book title? It has a section on Ozawa Masatoshi and Takehana Ikkansai Shigehisa, so I picked it up. Thanks! Quote
george trotter Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 Roughly, it is "Beauty of the Shinsakuto'. 1993 Japanese British exhibition. 28 shinsakuto smiths are described with picture and text. I think it came with an English translation. I saw one last year locally. Hope this helps Quote

SwordGuyJoe Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 If you could copy the Shigehisa and Masatoshi section, I would be very appreciative! Quote
Geraint Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 Hi Joe. The exhibition was brought to the UK by the Token Society and was a very memorable event. The opportunity too study such an array of work by some of the best gendai smiths was truly awesome. I believe the same event hosted a rather special display of work by Sumitani Masamine who appeared in person. That was quite special! I can still feel the weight of an extraordinary omi yari that he had made, on my mind if not in hand. Hope the attached helps. All the best. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 Excellent! Thank you very much. Quote
