Michael 67 Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 Hello, I have been offered a Tanto for 1,800 US dollars. I see Kanenaga. Who can help me with the translation of the blade and tsuba please. If the blade is too expensive? Condition is ok. I am grateful for any Information Regards Michael Quote
SteveM Posted November 28, 2015 Report Posted November 28, 2015 武州住包永 - Bushū-jū Kanenaga Edit: There are a few Kanenagas, but none of them from 武州, according to my references. Makes me a bit nervous of this signature. The signature on the tsuba looks like 利政 Toshimasa Quote

Michael 67 Posted November 29, 2015 Author Report Posted November 29, 2015 many thanks to all for the Information.ist the price too high? Quote
paulb Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Michael The only one who can determine if the price is too high is you There is no fixed pricelist for swords they are all only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them. If you like it and are prepared to pay that price it is not too high. If you think it is too much then it is. Quote
