Well..since we do have this one off topic thread running already, and it is a slow Sunday afternoon here...

I know you mentioned a bit about the AF decision comming up on the yahoo group. How about filling us in here about what is going on?

I know most here don't know, and sounds like quite a decision to make...

as of now, approved by the generals of the selection committee to be Lt. Colonel pending final approval from the Pentagon and Secretary of Defense.

 

Kadena Air Base ( that's in Okinawa for all you spies out there )is where I am to be stationed but now two other air base in mainland Japan is also available............

I may request that one in Northern Japan as the other one is close to a major metropolitan area with HIGH rent ( in case they run out of officers' quarters on base ).

 

If all goes well, I may be a regular fixture at those annual Dai Ichi sword thingies from 2008 onwards......... The horror, the horror ( Colonel Klutz )

Seriously..congrats Milt! That is brilliant. I had no idea you might be stationed in Japan. Wow. Better make sure you have access to a pc regularly, we can't have you disappearing.

If you were stationed off base, surely they have to pick up the full costs anyways?
