Griffero Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Hi.... I need Help need price for my Katana need evaluation need history of her Quote
hxv Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 It's a genuine nihonto (the blade you are holding in the pics). Other than that, nothing else can be determined from the pictures. My best guess: Value: It's worth anywhere between 1 USD and $1,000,000 USD. Evaluation: It needs care. History: It's between 150 years old to 800 years old. Hoanh Quote
Griffero Posted October 11, 2015 Author Report Posted October 11, 2015 can it be a reply? my katana is tsuka Shark Quote
hxv Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Carlos, Even with a lot of excellent, focused, zoomed-in photos, an assessment is difficult at best. With 4 photos of the blade shown, any real assessment is IMPOSSIBLE. Hoanh Quote

mfarrar Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Is there a signature on the nakago? (tang of the sword) Might be a start if there is one, at the moment your hand is covering this area on the photo. Try taking a photos with all the fittings removed. Would recommend you look at other posts on the forum to get an idea of how to take better photo's Quote
Stephen Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Also maybe try using a net translator, please Quote
