Hi everyone,

Is anyone able to translate the last Kanji on this Tsuba?

I have a couple of ideas. I don't think that it can be 'Katana' for obvious reasons but it could be 'carved by' or maybe a 'Kao'.

Let me know what you think and any comments on the Tsuba are very welcome.

Many thanks,

Pete

Yes, the character for "katana" is read in this context as "horu", i.e. "carved (by)".
