manfrommagnum Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 What color to mount these: black, brown, green, or blue? Quote
Kam A Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 . . . whatever color you like, I realise this isnt the answer you wanted but the question is just as vague. Saya and same needs to be taken into acount as well as whether you wish to pursue a classical or contempory approach and ultimately it comes down to taste. Example of someones taste as an example. . def not my thing but someone thought it was a great idea Quote
Fuuten Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 Perfect example Kam! That would've been a very very flamboyant samurai. Quote
Stephen Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 he might have been light in the geta? Classic white would go great ...IMHO Quote
Justin Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 Go for the brown. Looks good with this saya too. Quote
Stephen Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 With your busy flowers i think white sets it off better than brown, Quote
Brian Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 Everyone's own taste, but I agree with Stephen that, with lots of gold and shakudo and multi-colored inlays, white (or for me, cream) would look very elegant. 1 Quote
Stephen Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 yes a off white, or cream as Brian states Quote
