Daniel Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Michael, good choice. Many nice blades from the Nihonto Tanren Denshujo. I have a sword by Akitaka(Nakabayashi Fukutarō) with beautiful Jigane and a lovely Hamon full of nie. I also got a sword by Akimoto Akitomo with a beautiful well packed even Ko itame. None for sale I'm afraid but good luck in your search for one. If you find one, please share some photos. Best Regards Daniel Quote
Michael 67 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 Thanks for the very nice Akihisa. Now I'm waiting for more offers 1 Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Nice choice - even though there was quite a rift between Shigetsugu (the lineage I collect) and Akihide, there is a lot of similarities in style - given Shigetsugu trained many of the "Aki" smiths. What's your ballpark budget? There are a lot of good "Aki" smiths out there and they command a pretty penny. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Here is an exceptional Akihira: http://m.ebay.com/itm/WW2-GENDAITO-MIYAIRI-AKIHIRA-SHOHEI-1943-Japanese-Samurai-Sword-Tsuba-/281711699944 Fred has a decent Akinori: http://www.nihonto.com/10.2.12.html Plenty more online, but these are two I know of off the top. 2 Quote
