Greg F Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Hi all, if anyone has katana habaki for sale I would love to see pics, prices or any info. Preferably 30 cms wide or over. Thank you Greg Quote
Stephen Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Greg Thats a hard nut to crack, its kinda like going to goodwill and finding used shoes to fit, you may find one but might be tight in one area and lose in another. One at a time on the net? hope you have some time, at a sword show i must have went thru a few dozen before i found one that fits my wakizashi. Quote
Greg F Posted August 12, 2015 Author Report Posted August 12, 2015 Hi Stephen, Yeah I realise its a gamble, I have a couple koshirae and a couple blades similar sizes but if I cant get a good fit im happy to hang onto them as collection pieces and maybe one day they may be of use. Im hoping to find something not too expensive but we will see. Thank you for your input though I do appreciate it. Greg Quote

Greg F Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Posted August 13, 2015 Hi Stephen I had a look at the ebay habaki you showed me and it would have been ok but a bit small unfortunately. I should have put a minimum size in my post last night. Wasn't thinking too well, I was very tired from work .I think it would need to be 31-33mm wide.Thank very much for your time. Greg Quote

Greg F Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Posted August 13, 2015 Hello Brandon, I am in Victoria Australia Greg Quote
reeder Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Ah, I see. If you were in the states would just ship you a few to see if one fit then send the others back with $20 for the one you kept. Have you tried Doug at guntoartswords.com? Quote
Greg F Posted August 15, 2015 Author Report Posted August 15, 2015 Hi Brandon, I just had a look gutoartswords and couldn't see any. Shame about the distance and the hassle that comes with it but thanks anyway that's very nice of you. Thanks Greg Quote
