Thanks Benoit,

I've been waiting for this one to be released. At over 400 pages, looks like it will be a worthy companion to the F&G book.

I'll be ordering my copy.

All,

Does anyone have any contact info for Jim Dawson?

I have a question about the book, and both emails on the main page bounce back to me. The book should be available in a few days if everything is on track.

I got this great book and i was surprised because my name appeared on the next page of Author's preface, and Page 185 as Morita Kiyoshi (Japan).

I think it is very honored. Thank you very much Mr,J. Dawson.

This book is great book.

Congratulations and well done Morita san.

I received mine a few months back. Been pretty lax in not posting a decent review, I will try and do one this weekend. It is a good book, with many sword variants that I haven't seen in print before. It is good value for money, and I think essential to the militaria dealers and those who crossover into militaty swords. Not as much for the Nihonto collectors, but it is good to be able to identify all the different mounts in case you come across an older remounted blade.

I would have liked more on stamps and markings like F&G, but this remains a great book and one that belongs in the library.

I see Simon Rowson is also mentioned in the credits in the beginning. Nice to have 2 members here mentioned.

If we keep up with all the new info here, oneday maybe the forum will be a quoted source of info for a published article or 2 :)

I got lucky to be included in the book also....

One of my swords are shown on page 47.

One thing bothers me.... typo on my name.... John Choi :steamed:

Not bad for a guy who just started to collect for about 4 years huh?

Yep.... still can't translate most of the stuff but I know you guys will always help me out.

Thank You.... Joe

Hi...Carlo,

Yeah..been collecting for about 4 years now.

We spoke on SFI regarding a Tsuka from WWll naval sword which was sent to Ted Tenold for verification.... remember? Tsuka maki was done by the Great Tsuka Hei, stamped "Tsuka Hei Maki"
