JoshTroyer Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 These pictures are terrible but maybe someone can tell me what I'm looking at. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 It's a sword (hahaha). Assuming you know that, it's kind of a hodgepodge. Tsuka (handle) is military mounted/shingunto, saya/sheath is from a shirasaya (Google if you don't know what that means). Mei/signature is "Nori" "?". Need better pics to guess age. Quote
Grey Doffin Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Norichika, I believe. This is an older blade in WWII era handle and saya (scabbard) of unknown age. As such it doesn't hold much value as a military collectible but the blade can do quite well by itself without help from the mounts; could be a nice thing with good value. Grey Quote
Surfson Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 Looks like a Kanbun shinto shape - mid 1600s maybe? Quote
