manfrommagnum Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I got it for a great price. Only pics I have, but I could take more. Quote
Jean Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Soten style. Have been made and copied for centuries, late Edo. Unsigned. A lot were signed (you can search the Board) but few were really nice carved but for the first generations. Tsuba is iron, F/K look shakudo. Quote
Barrie B Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Hi Michael, As Jean correctly stated, the Tsuba is Soten style. The fact that it is Mumei is good… Not because it will be Soten though.. The fuchi kashira look really nice; as do the menuki. Well done.. I like them all... Barrie. Quote
Jean Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I am not a fan of Soten but I remember Bob Benson had a signed daisho shakudo set (tsuba) for sale which was bought by a friend of mine. Went to Japan for shinsa. It was pink slipped by NBTHK but papered by NTHK..... Weird world. One of the best I have ever seen... Quote
