Hi again, I need help with this sword.  I believe the date is  showa 1928? The maker is where I need help, Yama or Taka, then Moto  the third I can't find. The last is ichi, or itsu. What do you all read.   Sword is in gunto mounts Boy these things can drive you nuts.

Here is a link. I want you to go through all the nakago pictures and tell me if you find one looking even remotely to yours. The website I am attaching countains scores of Katana/wakizashi/tanto.

First thing, begin to educate yourself by reading a few books and looking at the real thing.

First lesson: All angles are crisps in Nihonto, the sides of the tang/nakago are crisp and not wavy unless if heavily rusted not talking of the butt tang (nakago jori)...

Edit to add: Japanese smiths are very proud and take their pride on the nakago finish, yasurime files...
