Pete:

I sat in that chair on the right in November of 2013 and fell in love with a Fukuoka Ichimonji which was Juyo Bijutsu Hin and have never quite recovered from the experience.  It was like a rainbow.  The owner and his wife (Kawashima I think it was) were quite nice and showed me some great ko-tosho tsuba.  The wife is an absolute tsuba expert trained by her father.
Special place.

If i am correct, it was Taibundo that Errol (Ichi) took me and Nicky to during our trip to Japan in 2008. I had forgotten the name until I saw that pic.

If it is that place, we went up a small elevator and when we entered that room my heart stopped.

I saw all the big names that day. After the second or third masterpiece was thrust into my hands....I think my brain went numb. Rai, Ichimonji, Soshu Yukimitsu, Sadamune, Sa, etc etc etc.....on and on and on. Just a mindnumbing collection of the best of the best. One of the most amazing sword days I have ever had. They laughed at my hesitation to take a priceless sword in my humble hands. I was in total awe. Owe a lot to that day.

Impressive.

Brian,

Any single one of those pieces and you have a very good day. It's nice to see that type of quality together.

Thanks for the pic.
