SwordGuyJoe Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 Hello All, I have an offer in on the sword attached to this nakago. I know it is a special order gassaku work by Miyaguchi Ikkansai Toshihiro (Yasuhiro/Kunimori) and his son Miyaguchi Ikkansai Tsunetoshi. It looks like it was made for Tanaka Hidekazu. Any additional help filling in the gaps would be great. The site says 1954, but I cannot read the nengo. Thanks in advance. I should add, that I am buying the sword (if it's still available) and this is strictly for my reference. 2 Quote
cabowen Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 It notes that it was made from (surplus) steel used to make a treasure sword for the Ise Shrine. Yes, date is 1954 and made for Tanaka Hidekazu. 2 Quote
