Rich T Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 This would be late Edo period I think, and the theme is a village theme with plover flying in the sky. It looks in the vein of Yasuchika and the likes but I am not a huge fan of late Edo Kinko so I do not study it much. I like the old stuff. Curran would be a good one to jump in on this. Rich Quote
Ted Posted September 3, 2007 Author Report Posted September 3, 2007 Also could you tell me what this detail on the mimi is called? By ted111 at 2007-09-02 Quote
Curran Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I would just say "Nara school" as a safe bet. Late Edo kinko tsuba that doesn't give much evidence. Someone else might be able to add more insight. Quote
Ted Posted September 4, 2007 Author Report Posted September 4, 2007 Thanks Curran, I'll continue to research it Ted Quote
Guest Nanshoku-Samurai Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 Nice Nara School Tsuba. Probably from around 1800 - 1850. Quote
