Bugyotsuji Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 Ah, so that's where it went. Very clever to find that. Quote
Jean Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 Yes, Brian is trying to solve many problems which are piling up, the newest topics not appearing in the new forum being one... Quote
Brian Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 If you mean the last 4 days on the old forum not having come across here, that is unfortunate, but was expected. There was a conversion process of the old database that took me 2 days and once that was done, this forum was created. But we still had to test it for a few days. So posts during that time couldn't be brought over. In the grand scheme of things, a few posts isn't critical. If someone wants, they can copy the posts and start threads here, and re-upload pics. Only one or 2 threads warrant that though. Pity this thread was one of them as it had some nice info. Maybe someone with time will create a new thread and copy it over, and I can delete this thread. Brian Brian, I was going do what you suggested but the images would not transfer, I keep getting this message (You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.) Does this mean that every image would have to be downloaded and then uploaded? When I did a preview the images show up fine but I can not save them to the post. Quote
Brian Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Eric, You would have to save and upload them. You cannot just copy and paste them, as forums encrypt the path and it will not see it as an image being uploaded but as an unspecified file type. This for ones uploaded there as attachments of course. Those hosted elsewhere you can link to here. Just save each one and re-upload. Maybe best to create a new topic for that gun/subject.
