Mark Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 mumei wakizashi nagasa 20" I can see most of the temperline, the boshi is hard to see as someone had cleaned it. No fatal flaws, some nicks, a bit tired, scuffs and stains. The shirasaya works but not sure it is original. There has been talk about people wanting genuine swords that are not expensive so I will give it a try. Not a treasure but a genuine antique hand made sword $350 + postage. best to email me at nixe@bright.net Quote
Brian Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Still not sold? Just to prove us all wrong about the cheap swords selling fast  Surprised. Brian Quote
Mark Posted December 12, 2014 Author Report Posted December 12, 2014 not sold. had a couple of nibbles but no sale. I am at a gun show and brought it, I marked it at $500 so will see if it sells at the show Quote
Stephen Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Christmas gifts keep on coming, hell you could resale on ebay and make a buck or three!!! Quote
Mark Posted December 12, 2014 Author Report Posted December 12, 2014 I only put it up here as there was some talk on other threads about wanting inexpensive swords. I think I have 350 in it but thought I would make it available to encourage newer collectors. Quote
Stephen Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks good of you Mark, for newbies who want to learn about parts of a sword its a great start at a heck of a entry price!!! Quote
lonely panet Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I agree, great start for newbies, a big thanks to mark for being gentleman and helping people start collecting with a nice affordable piece. regards Hamish Quote
bone Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 What the??? Someone on this board is probably on ebay right now getting ready to pay more for a lot less. My guess is most newbies don't even look at the for sale section 'cause there's almost never anything there on the cheap. Their loss really. I've got a few bucks coming my way in the next 4 to 6 weeks soooo... if this doesn't sell please shoot me PM? This is a GREAT BUY at this price! C'mon peeps! Beat me out and pick up a shinto or shinshinto at a lot less than you'll pay for junk on ebay. If you don't... probably won't see anything offered here again at anywhere near this price. Maybe there could be a sub-thread in for sale? Bargain basement priced items? Anyway, thanks again Mark. Never thought this would last so long. Quote
Mark Posted December 15, 2014 Author Report Posted December 15, 2014 withdrawn from sale I am posting on eBay. I will list it for $1 no reserve so if you think $350 is too much maybe it will sell for less and someone here will get a good deal. I had listed a couple of swords on ebay a month or so back that went for less than $200. I will add the link shortly when it is done Moderator please move to ebay category Quote
Mark Posted December 15, 2014 Author Report Posted December 15, 2014 here is the ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/221636712472?ss ... 1555.l2649 maybe it will go cheap, check it out and bid if interested Quote
DanC Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 As much as I would have liked, cracked shower walls need to be addressed before I get mould Quote
