Dear All,

 

I have the follwing translation of Tanobe sensei's sayagaki. Some words are confusing and I cannot "reverse-engineer" them, as I don't know Japanese. Would anybody take a stab at a better translation?

Sayagaki:

 

Yamato TEGAI

O-suriage unsigned, Flowing Masame ware forging, Straight

mixing in Notare wavy quench with extremely thick and deep Nie of rich

activities of Flay, Yubashiri and Ni-ju-ha, those wares express the

major charactar of Yamato school clearly. Among 5 major schools of

Yamato, it is appropriate to make the judgement of TEGAI work due to the

most briliant Nie, Above superior Made - length 2-shaku 2-sun and 8-bu

May, Snake, the 10th calender sign - Judged by TANZAN HENDO(Seal)
