However, I have not been able to find any real information on the smith Ishihara Kanenao. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out and know what the rating of, if any, this smith has. Hawley seems to rate him at 8 points, but he kind of rated everyone at 8 points in this timeframe. He seems not to have been a standout and may have been a maker of showato rather than high quality pieces. It will generally be difficult to find out a lot about him. Quote
