doc-detroit1 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I sold a Yamagami Akihisa years ago and have regretted it ever since. If anyone has one with a suguha hamon for sale, I would the like the opportunity to discuss it will you. Best regards, Bill
Daniel Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 If you haven't found one yet, here is one that might be of interest. http://www.toukenkomachi.com/index_en_t ... 20914.html Regards Daniel
doc-detroit1 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Report Posted November 8, 2014 Daniel, Thank you for the lead. I am not familiar with the term "sumi-gomori" in the description of the blade. Apparently it is a type of flaw. The pictures show a number of white flecks on the blade that I first thought might be lint, but it may be pitting, spotting or sumi-gomori? I am continuing the study. Thanks again, Bill
John A Stuart Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Sumigomori, carbon inclusions. John
