MauroP Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Hi Nikolas, nice fuchi indeed. The subject depicted is probably Taikōbō (太公望), also known in China as Lu Shang or Taigong. Bye, Mauro Quote
Nikolas Posted September 14, 2014 Author Report Posted September 14, 2014 here is what is inscribed on the fuchi... nagatsune + kao shoshin or gimei.. in hand it is really beautiful and delicately carved.. the insciption is not that way off but you van find irregularities. if any of you guys can shed a bit of light on the subject, i would be very pleased :D Quote

John A Stuart Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 One of the most telling factors to me in assesing the quality of figurals is the visage. If it has character and expression, that shows its artfulness, its worth. Look at this one and compare with the piece you were asking whether it was Goto or not, one reply said Kaga-Goto. John Quote
