Description: Folks up for auction now is a, extremely rare, museum quality, miniature samurai sword, from the 1500s.... "Signed" (refer to pictures to see signature). This exceptional sword, measures approximately 16 inches long, however, it is made exactly like a mature males full-length temple sword. We had this sword professionally authenticated! Whereupon, we were told, they had never seen a samurai sword like this, and that this sword was made for the son of royalty, the son of a Emperor. This exceptional sword, has a full shark skin scabbard, completely solid silver mounted, silver TSuba, and a fine solid silver, signed punch knife, mounted on the side of the scabbard. This exceptionally fine samurai sword was brought back from World War II, by a vet. Along with the pictures, which will be included with the sword. This sword is signed beautifully on the tang, by a renowned maker. Please refer to photos to see the signed Tang. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy the only known miniature "signed samurai sword" in the world. This sword has never before been offered for sale!

I saw this in person a couple months ago: happened to be speaking to a dealer at a militaria show in Allentown PA when one of the people from the auction showed it to him for an opinion and I gave some info too, while it was a better than usual example, and the fittings were very good quality, especially considering how small it actually is, tsuka and fuchi are smaller and thinner than an index finger (missing kojiri though) the info given wasn't quite as enthusiastic as this, maybe someone else was more impressed. :dunno:

It's not eBay, it is the seller that has disabled questions.

And it is an auction. If he wanted offers, he would have added that option.

Its showing make an offer to me as well.....

It is sad that he blocked offers from elsewhere because he has cut the price he could potentially get. Oh well. If anyone in the US could message him for me and tell him to change it for an interested buyer in Australia id be very happy ;)

Posts about live auctions like this are great. Completed auctions are boring, keep it up :)

Careful if you dont buy it now its going back in the cupboard for another 60 years xD xD or at least until his estate goes up for sale ;)
