Sorry but the images don't show much of the hada , just a lot of dust on the blade.

At risk of sounding patronising and telling you things you already know you need to remove the fine dust before putting the blade back in the shirasaya.

Having said that it looks to be a good sword. The suriage nakago looks a little unusual for a Tadahiro in that there looks to be a lot of sori towards the end and original mekugi-ana. that may be a result of the nakago being re-shaped when shortened.

What can be seen of hamon and hada looks classical Nidai Tadahiro konuka and suguha with thick and bright nioi-guchi.

Hi Dan, Paul has summed it up well, does it have papers ? :)

Yes it does have papers Tbk from the NTHK NPO. There appears to be a lot of dust but it's mostly the sprinkled nie all over the blade

Those are not nie.

It's either dust or left over uchiko. Sword needs a good wiping with oil then cleaning with a microfiber cloth and then redo the photos. The white dots will vanish.

Here is my contribution. A signed and dated tadahiro. Pictures of the kissaki have oil on it. Pictures of the jihada, I removed the oil to better view the konuka grain. Let me know if you have any questions!
