Bernard Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 These two tsubas are presently for sale on Aoi-Art. To my novice eyes, they look almost identical. Can anyone explain why the first one costs more than twice the price of the second one (JPY 110,000 / JPY 45,000) ? I try to understand iron tsubas and it's really difficult...maybe the patina of the more expensive is better ? Best regards. Bernard D Quote
Bazza Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Just having a stab... The first one is much older and the second one a later Edo copy. BaZZa. Quote
