Alex A Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Hi, if your assembling a koshirae?, it may be a good idea to add the dimensions of your nakago. 1cm, that's one chunky nakago.... Measure twice, buy once. Add 1mm to your dimensions for clearance. You will probably find out that it isn't an exact science, needs a bit of time and luck or dare I say it, alteration.....which will de-value anything you buy. Alternatively, have new made to fit...
ROKUJURO Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 ......I'm looking for a katana size tsuba without kozuka or kogai hitsu. Nakago 1cm by 2.5cm does that sound right?..... Hi Seeker (please sign all posts with at least a first name and an initial so we may properly address you) this could mean an early TSUBA, but the NAKAGO dimensions are a bit off! It would probably not be easy to put an historically fitting TOSOGU package together!
