I have never seen this shape of fukuro yari before, it looks like a kikuchi fukuro yari, does anyone know the correct name for this?

Great link to yari and naginata. I think that the nakago of the naginata broke and the piece to allow attaching to a pole was welded on. For those who want to see the naginata it is at the bottom of the page.

It certainly looks similar! It seems to be a strange way to make a naginata. I noted the blade on Aoi Arts before Ken started his thread on it. If a naginata had a broken tang and one wanted to save the blade for use as a pole arm what options are available? It seems that adding a piece to fit a pole is one. Welding on a new tang is another.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
