this is the top sword in the first pic, not sure if you can see it but it has the showa stamp on the tang

Those other two swords are definitely real. The above one is a kai-gunto (marine sword), the other a shin-gunto. The blades look better than the first one and seem to be real gendaito. I'm still very unsure about the first blade, though. Even if it's no fake as a whole, I guess the hamon is acid etched or faked in some other way.

i'm not sure of its true value and strangely the sword collector/dealer who has looked at it is has asked to get back to him if i have offers and he will try and beat it

It would be interesting to read what the "sword collector/dealer" had to say about the sword as I'm assuming that he's viewed it 'in hand' or maybe that's not the case.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
