hint #2:

He lived in Shinano province(Shinshu province) .

The mei is not four Kanji characters and is five Kanji characters.

(3 Kanji are his pen name/art name and 2 Kanji are smith name)

I discovered two misprints(Kanji typographical error) on the pic.

Correct answer is "Jikishinsai Kanetora" 直 心 斎 兼 乕(same as 虎).

I went to an exhibition of Kiyomaro school swords once in Nagano (maybe at Matsumoto-jo?) and recall several Kanetora blades as being very nice. I think I have a catalog from that exhibit somewhere....If I can find it, I will post some more pictures...Thank you Morita san for those images.
