Hi all,

I posted this right after I bought it, but didn't ask about the koiguchi. I did some searching for other examples of this fitting, but could not find any. I am wondering if this is rare or if I am just not searching in the right spots... Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If the saya is wood it is quite common to have some type of fitting for the lock to latch to, I think different makers used a variety of parts.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
