Pauln93 Posted July 28, 2014 Report Posted July 28, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/281392011909?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT I found this while browsing through ebay today. Came across this and this dealer in general. Do you guys think this is legit? In my opinion it seems too good to be true, but he does have a interesting selection of blades on his websites as well. sanjuro Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 OK... If its a Kanata, then would a false signature be Migei? :? Or is it just an average Gin Shunto? Quote

Pauln93 Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 wow it just sold for a tad over 3k, glad i didn't try to bid on it Quote
bobtail44 Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Yeah I was watching the auction. I wasn't confident enough in the condition to buy it. Also the seller didn't respond to my questions about its condition so it seemed too hard. Trent S Quote
Pauln93 Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 My main concern was the no return policy on it so I wasn't going to bid on it. I can't trust ebay sellers who doesn't offer some sort of return policy with gimei, various fatal flaws, and conditions being such a problem, especially for any smith that's even remotely well-know. On ebay you always have a return policy. Sometimes it just isn't worth paying the return shipping and the hassle though. If its gimei just say that it wasn't as described and you want to send it back. Paypal will force a refund. I wouldn't do it without a good reason though. Trent S Quote
Stephen Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 return policy with gimei??? huh? Papers change over time, ones good now may not be later, visa versa, do your home work before you buy. Too much buyers remorse going on now days. Now if is a out right lie on condition ie kizu that's a whole new kettle of fish. Quote

What I mean is that if someone says "oh im selling you a blade signed by masamune" for example or "im selling you a blade that isn't damaged" then you turn it over and there a massive rust hole. Paypal will just refund you and you post it back. If they say no refund in their policy it doesn't matter. Trent S Quote
